What is the publication team?

Since Fall 2023, PUEA has been developing a publication series to spotlight the energy research, interests, and activities of Princton students, alumni, and faculty. Fundamentally, it is a great opportunity for members to connect with alumni, learn about specific developments in the energy space, and share your passion for energy to the campus community while getting your name out to energy companies and scholars. The publication is distributed both digitally and in-print to faculty, alumni, and industry networks associated with PUEA.

How can you get involved?

The publication team is always happy to welcome new members! To get in the loop, please reach out to the team lead (Olivia Roslansky; or2714@princeton.edu ) or president (Abbie Cheng; ac8256@princeton.edu).

Past Publications

Spring 2026 Spark Energy Magazine: Energy Policy

The Spring 2026 publication, directed by Olivia Roslansky ‘26, connected PUEA publication team members with alumni working across the energy policy landscape, ranging from renewable energy legislation to transmission reform. Building on the Spark’s previous issues focused on cleantech startups and energy infrastructure, members worked individually and in pairs to interview alumni and synthesize their conversations and research into articles. Their work illuminating how governance shapes the energy transition culminated in this magazine, which was shared with the campus community and PUEA’s connections.

Winter 2025 Spark Energy Magazine: Startups & Cleantech

The Winter 2025 publication, directed by Wilder Crosier ‘25, connected members with alumni-run cleantech startups. Members met one-on-one with startups in the energy/cleantech space to learn about their mission while gaining mentorship and connections from alumni. Members then wrote a brief reflection summarizing the startup, its mission and value statement, along with any other knowledge they’d like to share from their meeting experience. These reflections were collected in a magazine and shared with the campus community and PUEA’s industry and academic connections.

Fall 2023 PUEA Energy Journal Edition 1: Infrastructure for an Energy Transition

The inaugural edition of our publication, directed by Cam Farid ‘26, focused on the large-scale infrastructure shifts required for the energy transition. Students, alongside alumni and faculty, had the opportunity to write pieces on any topic of their interest, from Chinese EV policy to the use of nuclear propulsion technologies in naval submarines. The journal was printed and distributed at the annual conference, as well as with companies and alumni in our network.
