PUEA was a cosponsor for Whig-Clio’s monthly debate on March 30, 2016, featuring PUEA President ’15 Owen Smitherman on the negative. The rousing debate engaged many audience members, and explored a number of angles on the topic – Princeton’s financial and political interests, “moral responsibility,” and various technicalities on divestment and its potential effects on the Princeton community. Pro-divestment won the debate by a slim margin.
